We need to fix the traffic pattern at the intersection of Cross Rd. and Pepperell Rd.
There have been a lot of traffic accidents involving vehicles traveling west on Pepperell Rd and then turning left onto Cross Rd. There have been many ideas for changing the traffic pattern to make it safer.
There is a site visit with the NH DOT scheduled for Friday Oct 2 at 12:30.
We will ask the police chief to review the traffic and accident history and make a recommendation on traffic and/or safety medications (BOS meeting 6-Jun-2011)

On Cross Street, entering 130 toward Hollis, early July (2011), the person in front of me DIDN'T EVEN SLOW DOWN for the stop sign.

There was an accident there a few months ago that took down a large portion of a wooden fence. There was a swingset behind the fence. Thank God no one was hurt! Let's fix the problem BEFORE there is a fatality.

I agree with the statement on Cross Road/Rte 130. Rte 130 being a state road makes it even ****** to get remedied. A thought would be to make Cross Road one way coming east, then make an intersection at South Main and Rte 130 that would be appropriate and designed to be so.
A gentleman from the NRPC stated at a recent selectmen's meeting that the problems that get fixed are ones that have had a fatality. The problem with that is a fatality on town is that it changes the town's complexion forever, sadly. -

Meetinghouse Hill to Mason across Rt 13 in either direction is risky - poor visibility of frequently speeding northbound traffic around that bend on Rt 13. Also hard to find correct turn spot (apparently due to road grading/line laying) going into Mason from northbound on 13. Scary in winter going downhill onto 13 from Meetinghouse Hill, though generally well sanded.

Rt 13 and Old Milford Rd is pretty brutal. Whenever I'm taking a left from the southbound lane of Rt. 13 onto Old Milford Rd. I'm scared to death someone is going to plow right into me from behind. Often as I'm approaching the stop sign on that end of Old Milford Rd the road people turning left onto old Milford Rd from southbound 13 come in fast and cut the corner. You have to approach this stop sign very carefully and watch for incoming! Then they look at you like you're doing something wrong, ha ha. This was supposed to be a state funded fix I believe, but I don't know what the status is.

I agree this is a dangerous intersection. What are the statistics of traffic accidents for this location. And are there any other bad intersections in town? (eg: Rte 13 | Mason Rd | Meetinghouse Rd)
